13th Annual Fannie Mae Help The Homeless Walkathon AWC-DC members will walk to raise funds for The Reading Connection; Freedom Plaza, 10:15 a.m. When registering, use READS as the Designated Agency Code. Participating walkers register to participate and pay a $20 fee. You are encouraged to solicit sponsors for your walk effort, and if you raise at least $20 in sponsorship money, your registration fee is waived. For youth (ages 5-25), the registration fee is $10. |

2000 AWC Red Hot Holiday Party! 7:30 p.m.—Birchmere Restaurant, 3701 Mt. Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, VA (directions: 703-549-7500). Just $35 per person!! Enjoy good food, beer and wine, take a salsa lesson, and mambo the night away to MAMBO COMBO.
