"Going Digital:" by Anne Marie DiNardo, Vice President for Membership

The AWC-DC Chapter proudly announces its cyber-presence at http://www.awic-dc.org/ with the launch of its very own web site. As one of the site architects, I see the Internet offering communications professionals nationwide the opportunity for rewarding jobs using this innovative means of communications. For AWC-DC, the new web site will help strengthen the organization's membership network and provide members with timely information regarding opportunities for career growth. Members can now find the following services available online:

AWC-DC writer typing on computer keyboard
  • Ease in learning about events on the chapter schedule including main events, executive dinners and happy hours.
  • The ability to share information with other members through the on-line job posting/talent pool and Members' Voices web page.
  • The opportunity to get involved in the chapter committees or volunteer events to acquire new skills and build rewarding relationships with other members.

The AWC-DC Internet site exists for members. As a dynamic medium, we will build the site together. Your feedback is important. So, check out your AWC-DC web site today and feel free to drop us an e-mail from time to time. (Don't forget to bookmark it!)
