This rate is $400 for five memberships, a savings of $300 over the regular rates. The savings include $50 off the regular annual dues of $450 for five people and the waiver of five application fees at $50 each, and additional savings of $250.

  • Local, national, and international networking opportunities

Professional growth

Enables staff to gain valuable experience through

  • International and local conferences, workshops, and seminars at member rates
  • Skill enhancement and cross-training
  • AWC professional publications
  • Information on communications workplace issues such as First Amendment rights, access to information, and pay equity

How it works for the purchaser

  • Business, corporations, schools, and nonprofit organizations may participate
  • The employer names the five employees to become professional members. Each employee must be qualified for AWC membership and must have a least two years of experience as a communications professional.
  • Memberships are international; members may be in one location or throughout the world.
  • Because the employer purchased the memberships, a substitution may be made in the event an employee leaves. (A former member who was a member by virtue of employment may purchase a personal membership without paying the application fee.)
  • Group plan members may join local chapters at prevailing rates.
  • Applicants should use a separate membership application for each member, but submit the forms all at the same time with the accompanying payment (check or credit card).
