USA WEEKEND Magazine in McLean, VA has an opening for an Editorial Assistant. This i an entry level position.

Responsibilities:
Support for newsroom editorial operations. With supervision, will handle fact-checking, data base update, correspondence, freelance payments, item writing, background reporting and researching, and project assistance. Candidate will be presented with growth opportunities including interviewing, contributing to feature stories and training.

Minimum Requirements:
College education with concentration in journalism or communications; work on college newspaper and/or journalism internship. Familiarity with internet research sites. Working knowledge of Quark, Excel will be considered a strong advantage.
