Speakers:
CBS Evening News Anchor and Managing Editor Dan Rather will join journalist/scholar Marvin Kalb at the National Press Club on Tuesday, October 9, at 8 pm, for a discussion of the recent terrorist attacks on America and the role and responsibility of television news in the new global challenge. The forum kicks off a seven-part "Kalb Report" series entitled "Journalism at the Crossroads," underwritten by a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and co-sponsored by The George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs; The National Press Club; and the Shorenstein Center on Press, Politics, and Public Policy at Harvard University.

Directions
By Metro: close to Metro Center. Take the Red, Blue, or Orange line (also see the current Metrorail map). Take the F & 12th Street Exit and walk west two blocks toward 14th Street. Turn left at 14th Street and walk down to the entrance of the National Press Club, 529 14th Street. (You can also enter The Shops at National Place and find your way to the lobby of the National Press Club.) Take the elevator to the 13th floor.
By car: The National Press Club is on 14th Street between E and F Street, NW. Parking garages are located on G Street and on 13th St. Your parking ticket will be validated for free parking by The Fourth Estate if you park after 5 p.m. at the PMI Garage, 1325 G Street.
