How to get your work and life more organized.

Speaker:
Barbara Jolly, President of GETTING IT STRAIGHT. Barbara is a retired Naval Officer Topic: Organizing For Excellence – Managing Time, Information, Paper and Space Without Losing Your Mind. A real "must" for busy professionals on a go-go schedule with information and communications overload. Learn how to give yourself a break from the chaos, and organize yourself for a more effective and efficient work style. Barbara is a retired Naval officer, whose career didn't prepare her for dealing with household responsibilities after the birth of her first daughter. After discovering how to get things straight, she wrote and self-published her book, Getting It Straight, in 1990. Her system uses concepts from the Navy's Preventative Maintenance System. She started her own company in 1994 and covers both home and business organizing challenges, from drawers to computers, basements to boardrooms. She has a background in finance, holds licenses in financial services and has experience in sales, marketing, advertising and computers. She also holds a Master's Degree in Religion.

NPC area map By Metro: close to Metro Center. Take the Red, Blue, or Orange line (also see the current Metrorail map). Take the F & 12th Street Exit and walk west two blocks toward 14th Street. Turn left at 14th Street and walk down to the entrance of the National Press Club, 529 14th Street. (You can also enter The Shops at National Place and find your way to the lobby of the National Press Club.) Take the elevator to the 13th floor.

By car: The National Press Club is on 14th Street between E and F Street, NW. Parking garages are located on G Street and on 13th St. Your parking ticket will be validated for free parking by The Fourth Estate if you park after 5 p.m. at the PMI Garage, 1325 G Street.
