Dust off your hat box for AWC-DC's Annual Tea on Thursday, August 25, 2011.

Join us in The Willard Hotel's renowned Nest room, where Donna Vincent Roa, Ph.D, ABC, CSR-P, will receive the chapter's prestigious Matrix Award, in recognition of her outstanding accomplishments in the global communications field.

The Willard, a Washington, DC institution is the ideal setting for chapeau-wearing communicators to gather on a summer afternoon for a formal tea and an informal tête-à-tête (or deal making if you're inspired).

The Willard's fine tea service will begin at 3:30 p.m. and will include a selection of teas, sandwiches, scones, and delectable pastries. The Matrix Award presentation will begin at 4:30 p.m. and end at 5:30 p.m., but not before entertaining lady luck for chances at an array of divine door prizes.

Let's enjoy a refreshing break from the indelicate days of summer by raising our teacups in honor of one of our own savvy communicators.
