AWC-DC: The FIRST gathering of the Season!
AWC-DC and the Embassy
of Finland invite communicators, their friends and/or spouses to network
and to join in Finland’s centenary celebration of becoming the first
country in the world to grant universal and equal suffrage to all its
adult citizens in 1906.
Prior to 1906,
women in Finland had no political rights, but on June 1, 1906, they became
the first women in the world to become eligible to be candidates in national
elections, and the second in the world to gain the right to vote.
Enjoy
the FIRST Season's gathering of the local Communications’ groups,
listen to a fascinating program, drink a toast, enjoy a delicious meal,
tour the embassy, and Network all evening!

Embassy of Finland is located in Northwest Washington, DC near the corner
of Massachusetts Avenue and 34th Street, opposite the Vice President’s
house and the U.S. Naval Observatory. Street parking is available on 34th
Street.

A portion of the proceeds will go toward the AWC's Matrix Foundation Barbara
Erickson Scholarship Fund.
IMPORTANT: Due to security restrictions, registrations
must be received by Noon, Friday, December 1, and NO
on-site registrations or payments will be permitted. The Embassy requires
that ALL attendees include their names, job titles and their employers'
names. Please include this information for ALL attendees you register

Payment" section, or include with the check payment you mail.
