Please bring UNWRAPPED books (fully tax-deductible donation) appropriate for children ages 5 through 18, to be donated to Kids Cafe, a program of the Capital Area Food Bank which provides after-school snacks, meals, education and social enrichment programs to children who suffer from hunger.

Enjoy a holiday buffet complete with eggnog, wine and soft drinks.

A few ANWC members will be signing current editions of their books. Tours of the historic clubhouse, a four-story Edwardian townhouse in French Revival style, will be offered.

Directions from the Metro:
Using the north exit from the underground, go west on "Q" Street two blocks to Massachusetts Avenue. In the second block on your right, you will pass the side of the Phillips Gallery, then the Cosmos Club as you round the corner onto Massachusetts Avenue.

At the light, Massachusetts Avenue, 22nd Street, and Florida Avenue intersect. Cross Florida Avenue to the island dividing Florida from 22nd Street. Turn right on 22nd Street. The clubhouse is the third building on the right, a red brick townhouse with double green doors and a brass plaque which says: American News Women's Club.
