What: XM Satellite Radio: Exactly What It Takes to Make a Woman's Voice Heard

Join AWC-DC on Monday, November 6, for an intimate look at XM Satellite Radio and the revolution in women’s lifestyle programming.

Not very long ago there was little chance a radio station’s content could be targeted exclusively toward women. The advent of satellite radio has turned all radio programming on its ear—and quite successfully, too!

Amy Reyer, Director of Woman’s Programming, and Courtney Heller, Executive Producer of Women’s Programming at XM Satellite Radio will share how they created and launched Take Five, the highly successful XM Satellite Radio channel exclusively for women.

Here’s your chance to learn how they conceived and developed the concept for Take Five, determined their audience demographics, designed programming to reach that audience, targeted the very best in the business and executed a very successful launch.

During this interactive evening you can ask them how and why XM Satellite Radio brought on Ellen DeGeneres, Tyra Banks, HGTV, the Food Network—and of course, Oprah and Friends. Find out what draws listeners to Chick Chat, Broadminded, the Satellite Sisters and other great programs that really dish up what women want to know.

If you need fresh ideas on how to target a select market segment and reach them effectively and successfully, then you need to attend this program. And if you’ve been wondering what all the buzz is about satellite radio, here’s your chance to learn why you should be listening.
