What: Executive Pie—Get Your Share
Marie Russell, founder
of Executive Pie, launched her new website in September because she "is
passionate about finding ways to advance professional women in the workplace."
She will discuss Executive Pie's concept and launch, while sharing practical
career advice.
Learn where women are in the 2006 executive landscape, how to recognize
and overcome career challenges, and how to leverage your clout and influence
within your organization by:
- Showing how diversity can drive revenue generation
- Eliminating the "perfect woman" mandate
- Building more women into the leadership pipeline
- Enlisting the support of our "secret weapon"
- Reducing the" leaky pipe" syndrome
- Reducing the wage gap that increases as we move up
- Identifying underrepresentation on boards
Russell spent more
than 20 years in the telecom and high tech industries as the vice president
and assistant vice president of channel sales and marketing for Alcatel,
Newbridge Networks and Sideware. She is membership chair for Women in
Technology, DC Chapter chair for the Penn State Career Advancement and
Mentoring Committee, and sponsorship advisor to the DC Chapter of the
Association for Women in Communications.
