What: An
Intimate Evening with Cokie Roberts
We’ve been invited
to a not-to-be-missed special program sponsored by The American News
Women's Club. This evening will be an opportunity
to make friends with Cokie Roberts. Discover a wealth of Washington history
at the elegant clubhouse of this association of women in journalism and
communications, founded in 1932.
We’ll not only gather together with our own members, but we’ll
also meet new friends at ANWC. And that’s not all! Cokie will be
autographing her new book:
Founding Mothers: The Women Who Raised Our Nation. The book, published
in 2004, explores the lives of the women behind the men that wrote the
Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Copies of the book
will be available for purchase so you can get your own autographed copy.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to gather with old friends and
acquaintances, connect with some dynamic women who aren’t AWC-DC
members, (yet!), have a wonderful meal and listen to a fascinating personality
one-on-one.
