Helping your chapter

You can volunteer to help your chapter by working on different projects on an as-needed basis. Please visit the Committee opportunities page to learn how to get involved with the Chapter. Use our Volunteer form to indicate your interest in a committe or fill in the Mentor enrollment form to become a mentor for one or more AWC-DC members.

Community outreach

Civic duty has always been an important part of the Association for Women in Communications. The Advocacy/Community Outreach Committee has adopted The Reading Connection and the Literacy Volunteers of America, Inc. (LVA) as AWC-DC's community service projects. Throughout the year, the Advocacy/Community Outreach Committee will inform members of opportunities to participate in activities as a group. For more information, contact Laura Illanes, Vice President, Advocacy/Community Outreach, at laura.illanes@ey.com

This site will also provide a list of volunteer opportunities in which members can participate on their own.
